BIS saddened to report tragic passing of Andrew Dunkley

It is with great sadness that British Ice Skating can report the tragic passing of long-standing volunteer Andrew Dunkley. He passed away at the age of 48 on Thursday afternoon.

Andrew was a well-loved, respected, and admired member of the skating community who will be greatly missed. He was at the heart of his home club Bradford.

Everyone at BIS would like to extend our deepest sympathies to Andrew’s family, our thoughts are with them at this very difficult time. Andrew’s wife Marie managed to beautifully describe the loss that so many people will feel. She said “Andrew was my husband and my hero, I’m going to miss him”.
